Abby and Jeff met the modern way: on Hinge. At first glance, Abby worried that the only thing Jeff might be into was running marathons. But then she spotted a familiar face in one of his photos—his sister Lauren, a friend from an old Bible study group. That small detail told her everything she needed to know about the kind of Catholic, family-centered man Jeff might be. It was a great first impression.

Meanwhile, Jeff was instantly intrigued. Abby was an accountant, a proud Aggie, and Catholic. The perfect trifecta. It felt like a dream come true.

After both swiping right, they planned their first date for January 2024. It began with old fashioneds at Permissions in Houston and ended with Jeff belting “Doses & Mimosas” at his favorite Montrose karaoke spot, PJ’s Sports Bar. Abby was hooked. From that moment on, she knew Jeff was going to be her wild card—in all the best ways.

In the weeks that followed, their relationship grew quickly and meaningfully. Abby quickly realized Jeff checked every box on her dealbreaker checklist (yes, it was a real list). By April 1 of that year, they made it official, and they’ve been planning their future together ever since.

Now, they’re counting down the days to say “I do” and couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with the people who mean the most to them.
